PRACTICE FOCUS
Wayne Creel concentrates his practice in trial and appellate commercial litigation in both state and federal courts and counseling clients on business issues. Wayne's experience includes representing clients in a variety of industries. He has significant experience in representing businesses, municipalities, trucking and logistics companies, real estate developers, and financial institutions. Wayne has litigated matters on a diverse range of issues and claims including, breach of contract, construction defects/delay and land use issues, business torts, misappropriation of trade secrets, asset recovery, franchising, and landlord/tenant disputes.
Wayne also advises clients on contract, compliance, and pre-litigation matters. He regularly counsels clients in regulated industries on compliance issues. Wayne has conducted internal investigations for physician groups, international construction companies, and financial institutions on matters spanning CMS rules to federal trade regulations to consumer protection statutes. He also advises trucking and logistics companies on contract issues and compliance with state and federal laws.
In law school, Wayne was a senior member of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal and received a Philip H. Corboy Fellowship and was also a member of the Philip H. Corboy Trial Team.
Wayne has been selected as a Super Lawyers–Rising Stars Edition 2012 and 2013 (Business Litigation) and as Leading Lawyers – Emerging Lawyer 2015 (Commercial Litigation).
